Keynote with Ashley Eckstein

Known to Star Wars fans as the voice of Ahsoka Tano on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars: Forces of Destiny, actress and entrepreneur, Ashley Eckstein, also founded Her Universe – the groundbreaking fangirl fashion company and lifestyle brand. Ashley has been widely recognized as a business woman and Fangirl trendsetter. She was recently chosen by Good Housekeeping magazine as one of their 25 Awesome Women for 2016. Her Universe is a proud licensee for Disney/Star Warsand Marvel, BBC /Doctor Who, CBS/Star Trek, Studio Ghibli as well as a growing roster of properties.

Ashley is a recognized personality in the “geek world” and an in-demand actress and host starring in several TV specials, live shows, events and videos for Disney, HSN, Comic-Con HQ and more. In addition to Star Wars' Ahsoka Tano, Ashley is also the voice of Mia the bluebird on Disney’s Sofia The First, Dagger on Disney XD’s Ultimate Spider-Man and the voice of Cheetah on DC Super Hero Girls. Milton Griepp

Milton Griepp is the founder and President of ICv2, since 2001 the undisputed industry authority on the graphic novel, comics, and hobby games businesses. He is a 40-year veteran of the geek culture business, and has managed companies that have sold over $1 billion in retail value of pop culture products as CEO of Capital City Distribution and Next Planet Over. He also served on the board of comiXology for five years until its sale to Amazon, and is Vice President and on the board of directors of the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.

Kristen McLean, Executive Director of Business Development, NPD Book

Kristen McLean is the Executive Director of Business Development at NPD Book, a part of The NPD Group. With more than 20 years of experience in the publishing industry in roles including retailing, sales, marketing, and industry advocacy, she oversees research into the consumer behavior of readers, and she is NPD Books' in-house specialist when it comes to the Childrens, Comic and Graphic Novel, and Licensing markets. As part of her role as an industry strategist, Kristen speaks extensively on issues facing the publishing world including the effect of technology and culture on books and reading, and evolving models for publishing. Kristen is deeply interested in fan engagement, user-generated content, and cross-platform media consumption in the Digital Age.
