What can I enter for a chance to win?

The three things you can enter for a chance to win are:

  • A seat in a panel taking place on the Main Stage presented by AT&T
  • A ticket to limited autographing sessions with the casts from some of your favorite movies and TV shows
  • A chance to purchase exhibitor exclusives from Funko, Fisher Price, and more

Does this really make my experience better?

These lotteries will help you plan your show and not waste time in long lines – because no one wants to go to #LineCon, amirite? The coolest thing is that if you win, your badge will be pre-loaded with the lotteries you won and you'll simply tap your badge to redeem your spot at the time of the event.

When and where can I enter the lottery?

Fans can visit this page from Thursday, September 14 at 2:00 PM/ET to Monday, September 25 at 5:00 PM/ET to enter for a chance to win.

Do I need to be Fan Verified?

Yes, in order to ensure that only real NYCC fans are entering the pre-show lottery, only fans with Fan Verified email addresses will be able to enter. Our system is super smart too, so your entire entry will be disqualified if you try to enter lotteries  for a day you don't have a valid NYCC badge.

Does my NYCC Badge need to be activated in order to participate ?

You do not need to activate your badge to enter the lottery, but you DO need to activate your badge to participate in the lottery. Basically what that means is entering the lottery is simply you entering your Fan Verification email and checking off which lotteries you'd like to be entered into. If you win, we'll be tying your winning lotteries to your badge and you'll tap your badge at the Main Stage panel, exhibitor booth, or private autographing session to be let in. That's why it's super important for you to activate your badge once you receive it (whether in the mail or at Will Call). Once it's activated to your Fan Verification account, your winning lotteries will sync automatically. Make sure to activate your badge now if you have your badge and haven't yet.

Can I enter for my friends who are Fan Verified or do I have to be a lone wolf for all the fun at NYCC?

Yes, you can enter the lottery for you and your friends! We'll go into a bit more detail into the process in our next question.

OK – so how exactly is this going to work?

After entering your Fan Verified email, you'll be asked to prioritize the events you want to win. We've separated the lottery into two unique categories, in order to increase your chances of winning. Once you've selected the events you want to enter, you'll then be asked to select your group size for each event.

Fans can enter for a chance to win tickets to up to two Group One events each day and reserve up to:

  • Four tickets for panels on the Main Stage
  • Two tickets for limited autographing sessions
  • One ticket for exhibitor exclusives

Fans can enter for a chance to win tickets to up to four Group Two events each day:

  • Six tickets for panels on the Main Stage
  • Two tickets for limited autographing sessions
  • One ticket for exhibitor exclusives

After your party size is selected, you'll simply hit enter and your selections will be entered into the lottery.

When do I find out if I'm a winner?

Winners will be notified by Thursday, September 28 at 5:00 PM/ET.

What happens if I selected as a winner?

You will be emailed a unique link that allows you to confirm your participation and assign your friends fan verified email addresses to each reservation. Be sure to collect your friends fan verified emails because if your friends are not fan verified, or you enter an incorrect email address, you will not be able to add them to the reservation.

You will only have 48 hours after receiving your email to confirm your participation in each event. If you do not complete this process, you will forfeit your ticket and we'll offer your tickets to other fans. After you confirm your participation, everyone included on your reservation will receive an email and the winnings will be coded into their individual badges.

When should I arrive to each event?

For limited signings and exhibitor exclusives, please arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

For Panels in the Main Stage, please arrive to the 1C Queue Hall 35 minutes prior to the panel start time to gain entry.

Remember to arrive at these times – if you arrive after the scheduled start time, we can't guarantee your spot will still be available.

What happens if I'm not selected as a winner?

If you are not selected as a winner for autographing session, we're unfortunately unable to include you in those events.

For exhibitor exclusives, some exhibitors opted into having a virtual standby line where you can tap your activated badge and we'll send you a text message if there's availability and it's your turn to come back to the booth.

We are only reserving 50% of the seats in the Main Stage via the pre-show lottery, so if you are not selected as a winner, there's still a chance to see a panel in the Main Stage. Please review the Main Stage Clearing and Badge Tapping page for more information on how to reserve a seat.

Are all the seats in the Main Stage Presented by AT&T going to be filled via the pre-show lottery?

Nah – as we mentioned, only 50% of the seats in the Main Stage will be filled via the pre-show lottery. This means that there will be fewer seats available for those who did not win the lottery and are planning on queueing the day of. If you'd like to see a panel in the Main Stage and did not win the lottery, head to the Queue Hall in 1C when you arrive to tap your NYCC badge and reserve your seat. Seating for Main Stage panels will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and we will still be clearing the Main Stage after each panel. What about the Theater at Madison Square Garden and the Hammerstein Ballroom at the Manhattan Center?

Seating at these venues is first-come, first-served and is not included in the pre-show lottery. If you want to see a panel at these venues and you have your NYCC badge, you can head straight there in the morning or throughout the day.
