New York Comic Con will once again clear the Main Stage Presented by AT&T after each Panel. Please read this page carefully for instructions about lining up and getting into Panels on the Main Stage at NYCC.
Entering The Queue Hall
HOORAY! It's finally New York Comic Con and you're in the Javits Center! So, what's next? Once you enter the building, you'll be ushered by our friendly NYCC Staff, Crew and sweet signage into the Queue Hall in Hall 1C. As you enter the Queue Hall, you will see two big signs. These signs will tell you which Main Stage Panels are full and which still have space available. We anticipate that some Panels will fill up as soon as we let Fans into the building so please plan accordingly.
You will walk straight past the Main Stage Panel signs to the back of the Queue Hall. As you head to the back of the Queue Hall you will be able to choose if you want to head straight to the Show Floor or get in line for a Main Stage Panel. NYCC Crew Members will send you to the left if you want to line up for a Main Stage Panel. If Panels aren’t your thing you will be directed to your right for the line to get onto the Show Floor for Fans who want to snag our incredible Exhibitor Exclusives or pick up some sweet merch.
Lining Up For The Panel You Want To See
There are up to five Panels on the Main Stage each day. There are also five individual chutes for each of the Main Stage Panels in the Queue Hall. Each line will be clearly labeled with the name of one of the Main Stage Panels for that day. Please make sure you get in line for the Panel that you want to see. NYCC Staff and Crew members will be stationed to assist in making sure you're in the right line for the right Panel.
Enter the chute for the Panel you want to see and walk straight to the front (or until you hit the back of the line). Every Fan that gets in line will be counted. Once we hit maximum capacity – based on the number of seats available in the Main Stage – that specific Panel's line will close and we will cap the line. Once that line is capped, there is no more room in the Main Stage for this Panel and no one else will be allowed in line. There will be no overflow room or standby line.
Receiving Your Panel-Specific Wristband
Every Fan in line will receive a wristband that is Panel specific with the Panel name, date and time on it in a color designated for that Panel. Every Main Stage Panel at NYCC will have a different colored wristband. We will start giving out wristbands in one of two ways:
- Starting with the first Panel of the day and working our way through until the last Panel of the day
- When a line reaches maximum capacity
Getting in line early does not mean you will immediately receive a wristband. There will likely be a wait to receive your wristband and the wait time could vary each day. Rest assured – we will distribute wristbands as early as possible
You will receive one wristband per person and you must be present to receive a wristband. Our team will place the wristbands on you and this will confirm your seat on the Main Stage Panel that you are in line for.
Please note: If you leave the line for any reason before a wristband is put on you, you forfeit your place in line and will have to go to the back of the line or may not be allowed back in line based on maximum capacity.
What Happens Next?
Once you receive this wristband, you have three options:
- You can wait in that Panel line until the Panel begins
- You can hop in line for another Panel that doesn't have a capped line by walking to the left and going down the Exit chute
- You can hop in line for the Show Floor and enjoy the rest of the Show! We would rather see you out enjoying all that NYCC has to offer instead of waiting in line all day.
Once you receive your wristband, DO NOT remove it. You will not be allowed back in line or into the Main Stage without it. Lost, removed, ripped or taped wristbands will not be replaced and you will not be allowed into the Main Stage. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Getting Back In Line Before The Panel Starts
If you leave the Queue Hall after receiving your wristband, please arrive at least 35 minutes prior to the Panel start time to gain entry. Make extra time for yourself and show up early. The crowds are large at NYCC and sometimes it can take longer to get around than you think.
When you arrive before the Panel begins, head into the same chute for that Panel and wait until you are let into the Main Stage. Your wristband must be on your wrist and visible in order to gain entry into the Panel line and into the Main Stage.
This process will be used every day of the Show, but may fluctuate based on the needs of the day. If any changes are made onsite, NYCC Staff, Crew and Security will be there to assist with any questions and provide clear instructions about the process. We hope this will allow more Fans to see the Panels they really want to see on the Main Stage.
All Panels are first-come first-served. If there's a Panel you really want to see we recommend you arrive early and get a wristband for the Panel of your choosing. Once we distribute all wristbands, no more will be made available.
Whew! We know that was a lot of information to absorb, but we want to be clear about the process in advance so our Fans understand it and it runs smoothly onsite. Here's a quick breakdown to help you remember:
- View the signs right inside Queue Hall to see which Panels have reached maximum capacity and which still have space available
- Head to the back left of the Queue Hall to line up in the chute for the specific Panel you want to see
- Wait in line until your Panel-specific wristband is placed on your wrist
- Do not leave the line until you have a wristband on your wrist
- If you leave the line after getting your wristband, arrive at least 35 minutes prior to the Panel start time
- Make sure your wristband is on your wrist and visible
- Head into the same chute for that Panel and wait until you are let in
