Artist Alley Table Request

Here is your chance to be part of the New York Comic Con Artist Alley for 2017!

Artist Alley Update: As many of you know, the North Pavilion will be torn down to make way for the pending expansion. In the meantime, Artist Alley will now be located in the Hall 1E of the Javits Center, located immediately to the left and down from the Crystal Palace.

Please fill out this registration form completely and fully. Please note that Artist Alley is curated and NOT first come, first serve; the order that we receive applications does not have an impact on whether you receive a table. Note: if you exhibited in the 2016 Artist Alley you are not automatically accepted to the event in 2017 - you must reapply each year.

Applications will close on Friday, June 16, 2017.

Instructions for obtaining an Artist Alley table:

  1. Fill out the following table request form (this is not a contract). Registration will close at 5:00 PM PST on Friday, June 16, 2017.
    Please limit your application to one creator submission; we cannot accept applications from publishers or other group submissions.
  2. We will contact all artists on 5:00 PM PST on Friday, June 23, 2017 with the status of their registration. 
  3. If your request is accepted you will then be sent a contract and will need to send in your signed agreement with payment no later than Thursday, August 3, 2017.

All artists who are accepted will be welcome to purchase a full 6’ table and two Badges for $500, or a half of one of those tables with 1 badge for $300. You must pay in full by Thursday, August 3, 2017 in order to reserve your space, so please plan accordingly.

Before you officially apply for NYCC’s Artist Alley, please be aware of some of the rules and restrictions we have to ensure all artists have a successful and enjoyable event.

  • All banners/displays must be free standing, single-sided and only a few inches deep. Please make sure that the tops of all banners/displays are no more than 8ft tall (from the floor) and no more than 5.5ft wide; please keep in mind that tables are 2.5ft high when measuring your display.
  • Displays on tables need to be inward facing and no taller than 4ft; no artwork should face out towards another creator’s table; displays cannot obstruct the visibility of other tables.
  • The sale of unlicensed material or stolen artwork is strictly prohibited.
  • All artwork displayed needs to be the work of a creator who is present at the table; do not display the work of an artist who is not at the show.
  • All displayed artwork must be kept to a PG-13 Rating.
  • Artist Alley table cannot be used primarily for the sale of merchandise such at t-shirts, pins, CDs/DVDs or plushies. Artist Alley tables are exclusively for use by creators who have artwork or other items directly related to their work for sale at their table (i.e. sketchbooks, prints, comics etc.) If you have a few of these items featuring your own work that is allowable, if you want to set up a T-Shirt booth we will get you in touch with our sales team about a space on the Show Floor.

BEWARE of the Fair Guide

Reed Exhibitions and New York Comic Con do NOT support the Fair Guide -- it is NOT affiliated with Reed Exhibitions or New York Comic Con. Please be aware that you may receive solicitations for the Fair Guide from Construct Data, its publisher, which use the name of New York Comic Con – do not be fooled. Construct Data currently operates out of Slovakia (it has previously operated out of Austria and Germany).

BEWARE of the Expo-Guide

Reed Exhibitions and New York Comic Con also do NOT support the Expo-Guide -- it is NOT affiliated with Reed Exhibitions or New York Comic Con. Please be aware that you may receive solicitations for the Expo-Guide from Commercial Online Manuals, its publisher, which use the name of New York Comic Con – again, do not be fooled. The Expo-Guide currently operates out of Mexico.

For further warnings on the Fair Guide and the Expo-Guide, please check out (the website was set up originally to deal with the European City Guides, but it now addresses the Fair Guide and Expo-Guide as well as several other similar matters).

And please remember – the only directories and guides affiliated with Reed Exhibitions are those published by Reed Exhibitions, including the official show directories. If you have any doubts about a directory/guide solicitation using New York Comic Con name (for example, if the solicitation requires payment made to an address in a foreign country), please contact an New York Comic Con salesperson ASAP.
