How and when do I and/or my outlet receive our Press badges?

Press registrations approved before Friday, September 6, 2013 at 11:59 PM (EST) will be mailed. Tickets will not begin to mail until late September 2013. If you are an International publication your badge will not be mailed. Please bring your confirmation e-mail and your ID to the Press Check-In Desk to pick up your official badge to NYCC 2013. After you receive your Press Badge, you may visit the Press Lounge (location and information to come closer to the show).

Each badge is issued individually and non-transferable. You may not transfer or sell your NYCC Press Badge, and any individuals conducting such activity will be disqualified from Press Badges at future ReedPOP events.

I and/or my outlet were approved last year for a Press badges. Why am I being denied this year?

The value of obtaining a Press Badge to NYCC cannot be underestimated, and there are several factors that go into the approval process. We are a 'fans first' event and we must maintain a high standard of excellence when we award press credentials. As the show continues to grow this process becomes tighter and more restrictive. Inevitably, some media outlets who had previously gained entrance will be denied access in following years and vice versa (you may have been denied in previous years and now been accepted based on your continued growth, media reach, etc.). Each year should be treated as a fresh opportunity to apply for Press Credentials.

Can I request an additional Press Badge for someone on my team?

Each person requesting a Press Badge must apply separately. NYCC reserves the right to approve or deny any application based on individual merit and there is a limit to the number of Press Badges provided to each organization.

If approved, what does a Press Badge provide?

Press Badges are valid for entry to all un-ticketed events held at NYCC as long as space is permitting.

If approved, what does a Press Badge NOT provide?

  • Your Press Badge does not allow early access, special access or guaranteed seating.
  • Your Press Badge does not allow you to cut lines.
  • Your Press Badge will not allow access into any events requiring an additional ticket beyond a general entry badge. Should you wish access to a special ticketed event, you must first have your 2013 NYCC Press Badge application approved, and you must then request access for specific ticketed events directly with NYCC's Press Office.

Anything else I should know?

Press Badges are limited in nature and will be issued only to professionally employed adults. Badges will not be issued to children, family or guests. NYCC reserves the right to approve or deny any application and there is a limit to the limit number of Press Badges provided to each organization. Application decisions are final and cannot be appealed.

I still have a question. Who do I contact to get an answer?
