Paley Center and New York Comic Con Present
PaleyFest Community Viewing Party & Greendale Pep Rally

At 10:00 PM on March 3, NYC's Paley Center (25 West 52nd St) and New York Comic Con will present the premiere of an upcoming episode of NBC’s Community culminating in a panel including series star Joel McHale and creator Dan Harmon live streamed from PaleyFest in Los Angeles! Come by early, as starting at 9:00 PM we'll be throwing a traditional dorm room mixer with chips, soda, and associated poor student fare (maybe even some instant ramen) and leading a Greendale Pep Rally — with Community and New York Comic Con prizes for the show's biggest fans!

Pep Rally Activities

Arts and Crafts 101

Come by early to make your own Starburns sideburns and Evil Troy and Abed goatees at the Greendale Arts and Crafts table in the Paley Center main lobby!

We’ll also have a B.Y.O.BLANKET Fort installation across the main lobby. Paley Center has already started the project, but we need your (freshly laundered) blankets to finish this exquisite, interactive art piece!

Community Trivia Contest

How many paintballs were fired in the seminal Community episode "Modern Warfare"? How many students graduated in the Greendale Class of 2011? How does Dean Pelton keep his head so shiny? Think you know more about Greendale, Community, and Inspector Spacetime than anyone else in NYC? Prove it at Paley Center!

Community Costume Contest

Magnitude... Kickpuncher... Luis Guzman... These are just three of the greats lining Community's pantheon of iconic characters. Come dressed as your favorite Greendale student or professor for a chance at adoration and prizes. We'll be giving out awards for our favorite costumes, funniest costumes, and most obscure costumes, as well as audience prizes. Sign up to participate at the Arts and Crafts table.

Greendale Pride Poster Contest

Why do you love Greendale?  Show us your school spirit in typical pep rally fashion — on a crudely drawn poster. Make a Greendale Pride poster at home or stop by the Arts and Craft table for supplies at Paley Center to scrawl out your love for the Straight A's of Greendale (Accessibility, Affordability, Air Conditioning, Awesome New Friends, and A Lot of Classes). Posters will be hung in the Paley Center main lobby and prizes awarded just before the screening begins.

Pop-and-Lock-Athon

This may be a joke. Or it may be real. We don't know yet, but pray we run out of time before we kick this bad idea off. Pop-And-Lock-Tober just may come early this year!

What's Up For Grabs

Willing to endure public shame to show your support for Greendale Community College? Prizes for our Trivia, Costume, and Poster Contests as well as Pop-and-Lock-Athon include Community T-Shirts, New York Comic Con tickets, posters, and shirts, and free admission to future Paley Center events!

Come To The Paleyfest Community Panel

After the Greendale Pep Rally pre-show, we'll tune in live to the PaleyFest Community panel direct from LA. Tickets are open to the public for $15 but you can get one for only $10 by selecting "COMIC CON" at check out. Tickets include admission to both the pep rally and panel. (You need this ticket to attend the pep rally.)

Also, be sure to check out Paley Center a week later, as NYCC will be there for a special Castle live stream and Scavenger Hunt on March 9! Get details here!
