You Can Make A Difference!

Please join us Friday, October 14 for the 1st Annual Charity Art Auction at New York Comic Con to benefit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital!

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering research and treatment of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Included in that vision is that no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.

The auctioneer for the charity event will be Steve Borock! Steve was a key figure in introducing third-party certification to our hobby. Due to his spotless reputation, his keen eye, and willingness to help collectors, he was hired by CGC as its Primary Grader & Restoration Detection Expert. Steve was promoted to President soon after and his reputation was the key component to CGC's gaining acceptance among the collecting community. He established the grading standards used by CGC and now, most of the comic industry. Steve collects comic art and is a rabid reader of new comics.

Steve now works with Heritage Auctions helping to bring comics and original art to auction. (www.ha.com); He also serves on the board of the Hero Initiative, a charity helping comic book creators in financial need (www.heroinitiative.org). He believes in charity for all in need and is proud to help St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with our original art auction!
