Please review the following information regarding NYCC Professional badges carefully.
NYCC welcomes Professionals across the full spectrum of pop culture industries and is happy to provide a Professional badge to approved artists, buyers, creators, editors, educators, librarians, licensors, producers, publishers, retailers and writers currently working or retired from comics and popular arts. Due to the volume of applications, we cannot provide Professional badges to support staff, such as administrative staff, facilities, IT, operations and others who are not directly involved in the creative process.
Your Professional badge DOES NOT allow:
- Early access into the building, special access or guaranteed seating
- The ability to cut lines
- Free access into any events requiring an additional ticket
Registration will open on Monday, March 20 at 12:00 PM ET and close on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 11:59 AM ET. After applications are submitted, they will each be reviewed in turn and responded to by Monday, May 1, 2017.
Once the NYCC Professional registration period has closed, no late applications will be accepted, due to volume of applicants and limited number of Professional badges available. All Professional registration will take place during this time frame.
There will be NO onsite Professional registration. Should you wish to attend as a Professional, you MUST apply online and complete the full application.
Your application will be reviewed by the NYCC Professional Registration Team and you will be notified by May 1, 2017 if you have been approved for a Professional badge. Note: Your credit card will not be charged until your application has been approved. Should you not receive the status of your application by Wednesday, May 3, 2017, contact the NYCC Professional Email Inbox.

If your application is approved, you will be prompted by email to complete your registration. Part two of your registration must be completed within 10 business days of acceptance.
Applications that are not finalized within 10 business days will be cancelled and a Badge for NYCC 2017 will not be provided.
Your approval for a Professional badge at previous editions of NYCC does not guarantee you a Professional badge in 2017. Applying as a Professional does not guarantee that you will be approved. You must complete the entire Professional badge application whether you have been approved previously or not.
All application decisions are final. NYCC reserves the right to approve or deny all applications. This decision is final and cannot be appealed. You will not be able to submit further information later on if your application is not approved. There is a limit of 2 badges issued per company or institution.
Each Professional badge is issued individually and is non-transferable. You may not transfer or sell your NYCC Professional badge, and any individuals conducting such behavior will have this badge cancelled and be disqualified from Professional badges at future ReedPOP events.
