Press Registration

Press registration is now open. Please read this page carefully before applying. The button to apply is at the bottom of this page.

Who Qualifies

NYCC press registration is open for journalists regularly making editorial contributions. Editorial press includes writers, reporters, reviewers, producers, photographers, videographers, etc. who are attending specifically to write about NYCC and/or cover the event for newspapers, magazines, TV, blogs, podcasts, radio, etc.

Press Badge Access

NYCC press badges provide complimentary access to NYCC and corresponding venues (that don't include a separate ticket) for all four days of the event. Press badges are extended as a courtesy of NYCC. As with all ReedPOP events, NYCC is a fans first event which means your press badge allows access to panels as long as space is available.

Your press badge DOES NOT allow:

  • Early or special access into NYCC
  • Guaranteed seating at panels and events
  • The ability to cut lines
  • Free access into any events requiring an additional ticket
  • Entry into pre-show lotteries for exhibitor exclusives or private autographing (sorry, but these are reserved for NYCC fans buying tickets)

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. You'll be notified if you have been approved or denied within 21 business days of when you submitted your application. If approved, additional information will be provided in your confirmation email and receipt. Every individual applying for a NYCC press badge may only apply once.

Each press badge is issued individually. If you're applying with a team, each person on your team needs to apply and be approved separately.

(Psst, if you're approved and then email us saying you only received one badge and need more for your team, we reserve the right to shame you for not reading these guidelines before applying like we asked.)

Press badges are non-transferable and non-resellable. Any individuals caught selling their press badge will be disqualified from attending future ReedPOP events. This is non-negotiable.

Are you an INFLUENCER with a large social media following? If you don't contribute to an editorial outlet, but have a large social media following on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube or Twitch, we recommend applying for Professional Registration in the Influencer category instead. If you apply for a press badge but are not editorial media, you will be denied regardless of social media follower count.

The NYCC press application will be open until September 25, unless we reach maximum capacity at an earlier date. We strongly recommend you apply early as once all press badges are allocated, no more will be released. There will be no onsite Press registration at NYCC.
