Welcome Letter

Dear New York Comic Con Speaker,

We are very excited that you will be joining us at NYCC 2021! We are looking forward to bringing New York the best of pop culture and a weekend full of fun. We want to make sure that you have a great experience at the show, so please use this manual as a guide for all of the essential details that you need to know about NYCC.

Vaccination Check Info

We strongly encourage you to arrive prior to the start of the show on Thursday to verify your full vaccination status to receive a wristband valid for all days of the show and pick up your badge.

You will not be permitted to pick-up badges for other individuals this year, each person must come to Will Call in the Crystal Palace to pick up their badge. You will only need to verify your vaccination once as long as you keep your wristband on for the entirety of the show.

When you arrive to the Crystal Palace you will be required to show proof of full vaccination to receive your wristband.

“Full vaccination” means that your date of entry to NYCC is at least 14 days after your final dose of an FDA/WHO approved or authorized vaccine. For our full FDA/WHO approved/authorized vaccine list, please see our FAQs.

New York Comic Con has partnered with CLEAR Health Pass, to allow for easy proof of COVID-19 vaccination status and faster entry. To get started, download the CLEAR app and enroll for free here:

Manual verification is also available using one of the following approved methods on-site at NYCC:

  • A Government Issued Vaccination Record (paper or photo)
  • Excelsior Pass, the Key to NYC App, or Docket

You will need present a government-issued photo ID/passport and an approved vaccination record demonstrating proof of Full Vaccination with an authorized or approved vaccine.

We strongly recommend you upload your info into our event on the CLEAR Health Pass App. It will be the fastest form of verification onsite! It’s fast, simple and all you need to do is scan this QR code

You will only need to complete the vaccination check process once, provided you keep your wristband on for the duration of the event. If you lose your wristband, you will need to return to our Registration area in Crystal Palace to receive a new one.

Panel Room Setup

All Panel Rooms will be set up with theater style seating and equipped with projectors unless otherwise noted. Laptops for presentations are not provided, you must bring your own.

PLEASE NOTE: This year, NYCC will be utilizing the new Javits Center Expansion for select panel rooms and theaters. Room capacities are estimates and subject to change. If you have any questions about tech, please contact panels@reedpop.com.

Speaker Badges

If your panel was accepted, you would have received a link in your confirmation email to request speaker badges for your moderator and panelist(s). NYCC will provide up to 6 speaker badges per panel for panelists only; NYCC is unable to provide any additional badges for friends, family, etc. If you did not receive the link, click here to fill out the speaker badge form.

The speaker badge grants each panelist access to NYCC all four days of the show.

Any panelist who is not registered through the link provided will not receive a badge. Again, speaker badges are for panelists and moderators only. We are unable to provide additional badges.

General Information

Arrival and Setup

Please arrive to your Panel Room at least 10 minutes in advance of your scheduled start time. NYCC allots 15-30 minute breaks in between each Panel. As soon as the Panel before yours has concluded, you may begin setting up for your own panel. If you require help setting up your laptop or with any tech, please let a Crew or Staff member know and we’ll be happy to get you the assistance that you require.

Tech Checks

The 15-30 minute breaks that we have scheduled before all Panels should provide ample time to set up your equipment and start your Panel on time. If you feel like you need more time to test your presentation, we have limited availability to schedule tech checks before the show begins. If you would like to schedule a tech check, please contact the NYCC Content Team at panels@reedpop.com 

Livestream/Recording

By operating your panel at NYNCC you agree and acknowledge that ReedPop may (a) livestream your panel in its entirety; (b) record your panel and distribute recordings exclusively to certain tiers of NYCC “digital ticket” holders and/or members of the ReedPop “Find the Metaverse” subscription platform; (c) use recordings of your panel for advertising and promotion of NYCC; and (d) provide footage from your panel to third party media in order to increase coverage of NYCC. These rights shall be governed by the Terms & Conditions located here and incorporated herein by reference. You represent to ReedPop that you are authorized to accept these Terms and that these Terms shall govern your panel at NYCC.

Health & Safety

On August 3, 2021, the city of New York announced that it will be putting in place requirements for vaccination verification at NYC events, with official guidance to be released by August 16. We are closely monitoring these changes and working with the Javits Center to update our health and safety guidelines for NYCC 2021. We will update our website once NYC has issued its guidance and message attendees as soon as possible about how this will impact NYCC protocols.
