NYCC Ticket Onsale Assigning Tickets Walkthrough

During the Onsale for New York Comic Con, you'll be required to assign each individual ticket during checkout. You will not be able to complete your purchase until all your tickets are assigned to yourself and anyone you're buying for.

  • If the person you're buying for has a Fan Verification account, great! Use that email to assign the ticket to them. PRO TIP: double check that the email address you’re entering is correct.

  • If the person you're buying for doesn't have a Fan Verification account, no worries! Assign the ticket to their email address and they can create a Fan Verification account later on. PRO TIP: to make things easier, make sure your friend Fan Verifies with the email you used to assign them a ticket.

To help you with this step, we've included a walkthrough below of what the process will be like. Take a look and make sure you're prepared!

This is what the page will look like once you have tickets in your cart and you move forward through the checkout process. Let's say you're buying two Thursday tickets.

You'll assign the ticket to yourself and a friend or family member you're buying for.

Now let's say you're buying a ticket for a kid. When you were filling out your Fan Verification account, you were asked if you would be buying a ticket for a kid 6-12. If you answered YES, then during checkout you'll assign the ticket for your kid to your Fan Verified email address.

Be prepared to show proof of age onsite.

AND NOW FOR THE FINAL STEP:

After you've assigned the ticket to your friend or family member and have completed your checkout, they'll receive an email notifying them that they've been transferred a NYCC ticket. They must create a Fan Verification account when it opens on Mon, May 23 in order to accept the ticket that you've assigned to them.

If they don't create a Fan Ver account, they won't be able to participate in any of our drawings for private autographing, exhibitor exclusives, or reserved panel seating. Their ticket will just sit in limbo and they'll be able to attend the event, but they won't be able to do any of the extra cool stuff we got goin' on. Fan Verification will be open on May 23.

Once they create their Fan Ver account, they'll be able to go into their Fan Ver hub to accept the transfer.

Once they're logged into the Fan Ver Hub, they'll click on the green bars at the top of the page and accept the tickets that were assigned to them.

Once the person accepts them and it's confirmed, voila! Do a little dance because you're all going to New York Comic Con!
