Fan Verification

New York Comic Con requires everyone to create a Fan Verification account prior to accepting or buying NYCC 2022 tickets.

If you already have a Fan Verification account, you don't need to create a new one.

Fan Verification is an account you'll create in order to purchase New York Comic Con 2022 tickets or accept NYCC tickets that have been assigned to you. Your Fan Ver account will also provide you access to our pre-show drawings for exhibitor exclusives and reserved panel seating, the NYCC 2023 Fan Ver presale, and a few other pretty neat perks.

If someone bought you a ticket to NYCC and you are not Fan Verified, you must create an account before accepting the tickets. See a step-by-step walkthrough of how to do this here. If you don’t accept the ticket, your ticket will just sit in limbo and you'll be able to attend the event, but you won't be able to do any of the extra cool stuff we got goin' on.

Create Your Account

Yes. Fan Verification accounts are required if you are purchasing tickets to NYCC 2022. You will be able to purchase tickets for pals that don’t have Fan Ver accounts, but they will have to create a Fan Ver account in order to accept the tickets purchased for them. We still recommend everyone attending create one, as it provides access to our pre-show drawings for exhibitor exclusives and reserved panel seating, the NYCC 2023 Fan Ver presale, and a few other pretty neat perks

Nope! But you should have received an email from ShowClix that allowed you to make any updates to your Fan Ver account and confirm you want to carry it over to 2022. Once your account is rolled over to 2022 you'll be eligible to buy NYCC 2022 tickets during the presale or general onsale. If you didn't receive that email or you ignored it, your account will still roll over.

All fans (13 years of age at the time of NYCC and older) who hope to purchase tickets to NYCC 2022 must fill out a Fan Verification account. You will not be able to purchase tickets if you have not created a Fan Verification account. 

Note: if someone you know has a Fan Ver account, they will be able to purchase a ticket for you even if you do not have a Fan Ver account, but we highly recommend you create one since there are perks to having one! 

You can only fill out one Fan Verification account per email address and each fan can only have one account. 

If you do not fill out a Fan Verification account, you will not be able to buy NYCC 2022 tickets. 

The only fans who do not need to be Fan Verified are kids who will be ages 6-12 at the time of NYCC 2022 and will be using an adult ticket or a Sunday Kids ticket. Make sure in your own Fan Verification account that you check YES when asked if you're purchasing for a kid ages 6-12. Kids 5 and under will be admitted for free to NYCC and no ticket is required.

No, it does not guarantee NYCC tickets or that you will get the NYCC ticket type that you want, but it does give you the opportunity to purchase NYCC 2022 tickets.

Nah. You can only fill out one Fan Verification account per email address and each fan can only have one account. Anyone who is identified as having multiple Fan Verification accounts or as a known reseller will have their Fan Verification voided and will not have the opportunity to purchase NYCC tickets.

No problem! You will be able to purchase and assign tickets for anyone regardless if they have a Fan Ver account or not. Your friend will have to create a Fan Ver account before accepting the tickets you purchased and assigned to them.
 
PRO TIP: to make things easier, make sure your friend Fan Verifies with the email you used to assign them a ticket.
