New York Comic Con Announces Ticket On-Sale Dates for 2026 Show and Unveils 20th Anniversary Theme
NYCC Sets “Coney Island” As This Year’s Theme, Spotlighting Two Titans of NYC Culture in Celebration of the Pop Culture Convention’s 20th Anniversary Milestone
NORWALK, CT – May 13, 2026 – Next stop: New York Comic Con. ReedPop, the world’s largest producer of pop culture events, today unveiled the ticket on-sale dates for New York Comic Con 2026. With the convention celebrating its 20th anniversary this October, NYCC also revealed that this year’s show will feature Coney Island as its theme, uniting two of New York City's most beloved cultural icons. NYCC is returning to the Javits Center in New York City on October 8-11, 2026.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public for New York Comic Con 2026 on Wednesday, June 24 following presales for Popverse Superfans (Wednesday, June 3) and fans who rolled over their Fan Verification profiles (Sunday, June 14). Fans can sign up to become Popverse Superfans at thepopverse.com.
ReedPop is celebrating 20 years of New York Comic Con by partnering with the iconic Coney Island as the official theme for 2026. Marking this major milestone, the collaboration brings together two legendary NYC destinations that have long invited fans to play, explore, and fully embrace what they love. For generations, Coney Island has been a symbol of joy, spectacle, and imagination—much like NYCC, where fans from around the world gather each year to celebrate the stories, characters, and communities that inspire them. Together, they represent the heart of New York at its most vibrant: creative, inclusive, and unapologetically fun.
As part of this partnership, New York Comic Con is proud to sponsor the 44th Annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade, one of New York’s most iconic celebrations of art, creativity, and self-expression, which is set to take place on June 20. Fans in attendance will have the chance to snag some NYCC merch at this year’s parade. But that’s not all: The world famous Coney Island Circus Sideshow will also have a presence at NYCC with a Variety Show on Thursday, October 8 as well as performances running throughout the whole weekend. They will also provide entertainment during the Cosplay Crown Championship on Saturday, October 10, while judges decide the winners.
