Cosplay allows people to express their creativity, passion, and connection to the characters and stories they love! Cosplay Central at NYCC fosters a sense of community and belonging, empowering individuals to celebrate their identities and share their artistry with others.
Where is Cosplay Central?
Located in Hall 1E and South Concourse.
Cosplay Central Hours:
Thursday – Saturday: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hall 1E will serve as the primary Cosplay Central destination, with additional cosplay features located in South Concourse.
Cosplay Central Crown Championships
Saturday at 8:00 PM on the Main Stage
The Cosplay Central Crown Championships is back for 2026! The winner of the New York Comic Con Qualifier will move forward into the USA Final for a chance at glory in the Crown Championships Global Final. Craftsmanship is at the heart of the championship, so expect to see some incredible sights as our competitors take to the stage and show off their creations!
Cosplay Central Costume Showcases
Want to show off your cosplay at NYCC? We have even more opportunities to take the stage this year! Join us for our Catwalk Style After Dark Cosplay Showcase on Friday at 8:45 PM on the Community Stage in Hall 1E, where cosplayers can strut their stuff and show off their looks.
On Saturday, our Kids’ Cosplay Showcase takes over the Community Stage in Hall 1E, giving our youngest cosplayers a chance to shine.
Then, join us for our traditional Cosplay Central Costume Showcase on Sunday at 4:00 PM on the Main Stage, celebrating cosplayers of all skill levels and all kinds of costumes.
Whether you’re brand new to cosplay or a seasoned cosplayer, these showcases are all about celebrating your creativity, your favorite characters, and the amazing NYCC cosplay community!

Cosplay Central Crown Championships Judges’ Exhibit
Get an up-close look at the incredible craftsmanship of the NYCC Crown Championships of Cosplay judges! This special exhibit showcases costumes and creations from this year’s judging panel, giving fans the chance to explore the artistry, techniques, and attention to detail behind the makers tasked with selecting our next Crown Champion. Stop by throughout the weekend to admire their work, get inspired, and see what master-level cosplay craftsmanship looks like up close.

Cosplay Repair provided by Paladins of Cosplay
Cosplay emergency? We’ve got you covered! Stop by Cosplay Repair in Hall 1E for help with popped seams, broken straps, damaged props, and other costume mishaps throughout the weekend. Cosplay Repair is provided by Paladins of Cosplay, helping get your cosplay back in action so you can get back to enjoying the con!
Community Art Wall
Leave your mark on Cosplay Central! The Community Art Wall is a collaborative canvas open to everyone throughout the weekend. Grab a paint marker and add a doodle, sketch your favorite character, leave a message, or contribute a little piece of your creativity alongside fellow NYCC fans.
Whether you’re an experienced artist or just feel like drawing something silly, there’s room for you. Watch the wall transform throughout the weekend as hundreds of individual contributions come together to create one giant piece of NYCC community art!
Cosplay Central Meet & Greet Table
Meet some of your favorite cosplayers, creators, and makers at our Meet & Greet Table! Throughout the weekend, a rotating lineup of talented guests from across the cosplay and creator community will stop by for dedicated Meet & Greet sessions.
Come say hello, snap a photo, chat about cosplay and creativity, and connect with the people behind some incredible creations. With new faces appearing throughout the show, be sure to check the schedule and stop by to see who’s at the table!
The Meet & Greet Table will be located in Hall 1E.
Cosplay Admin Desk
Your home base for all things cosplay at NYCC! Stop by the Cosplay Admin Desk to sign up for our Cosplay Showcases, check in and drop off your build book if you’re competing in the NYCC Crown Championships of Cosplay, get help with Talent Show questions, or ask our team about cosplay programming and activities happening throughout the weekend.

Cosplay Changing Rooms
Need a place to transform into your NYCC alter ego? Cosplay Changing Rooms provide a dedicated space for attendees to change into and out of their costumes during the show. Skip the bathroom costume shuffle and get ready for your con day in a space designed with cosplayers in mind.
Please be courteous of your fellow attendees and take all costumes, props, and belongings with you when you leave.

Cosplay Central is expanding beyond Hall 1E! Head up to the South Concourse throughout the weekend for even more ways to celebrate cosplay at NYCC.
Step into the Wasteland with Pros & Cons Industries’ Fallout-inspired photo ops and displays, then find your fandom at our Cosplay Meetups, where attendees can gather with fellow fans, show off their costumes, take photos, and join epic group shots throughout the weekend.
