Applications for the NYCC Talent Show close on June 12, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET. Applicants will be notified by June 19, 2026. There will be no applications on-site.

Is the Talent Show on multiple days of the show?
The Talent Show will take place only on one day of the convention.
Do I get a free badge if I am selected to participate in the talent show?
No, participants are required to have their own badge for the date of the talent show already.
Can I get any discounts for badges if I am selected to participate in the talent show?
Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with any badge discounts.

What are the time restrictions for the talent show?
The time restriction is the same for both individuals and group acts, 3 minutes per act.
Will Talent Show sign ups be accepted at the convention?
No, please sign up online before the application deadline.
I don’t have a video audition for my act yet, can I submit my application and send it after the application deadline?
No, please submit your full application with all the required materials before the application deadline.
I won a monetary prize from the Talent show! When can I expect to receive my prize?
Please allow up to two weeks post talent show for the monetary prizing to be delivered to the winners. If more time is needed, winners will be notified by ReedPop staff.
How many songs do I get to perform?
You may perform as many songs as you are able to fit within the allotted time.
Do I need to keep my performance clean?
Please aim to have your performance geared towards a PG-13 audience.
Will there be a tech check?
Yes, a scheduled tech check will be given to talent show participants prior to the talent show. Please make every effort to attend the tech check if you are a talent show participant.
Can the convention provide me with prop furniture?
We can provide you with a chair and/or a table, anything else you need you should bring with you.
Can the Staff help me set up and remove my props from the stage?
Please plan to remove your props from the stage yourself, staff can help in a pinch if you bring a larger prop, but you should aim to be able to take your props down yourself/selves as much as possible.
