Welcome to Family HQ, your place for family friendly fun all weekend long at New York Comic Con! Is your child star struck over Star Wars? Are they amateur artists or wee wizards? Then Family HQ is the place for you! In Family HQ, we have something for everyone. Kids and parents alike can join in our drawing workshops, interactive activities, and entertaining performances. Looking for fun for the whole family? Then bring them out to Family HQ!
Family HQ is a place to learn and relax! You will have everything you and your little ones need to let their creativity run wild, including fun crafting activities all weekend, so your mini superheroes can make something cool to take home and cherish. Pens, pencils, paper, go!
New York City Public Schools' Civics for All Comics Group and Lit-X are partnering with New York Comic Con to offer engaging comics education sessions in 2024. These sessions will feature presentations, panels, workshops, and research-based strategies designed to support K-12 educators with ready-to-use tools for teaching through comics and pop culture. Free comics, posters, and creator signings will be available at their booth, along with a student-led voter registration drive. New York State educators can also earn CTLE credits by attending the sessions.
Visit PBS STEAM's booth at New York Comic Con to explore exciting careers in STEAM fields like Entertainment and AfroFuturism Architecture. Engage with professionals from Comics, Animation, and Gaming through interactive presentations and Q&A sessions. Build your own AfroFuturism-inspired structures using Legos and discover the creative possibilities of 3D printing with live demonstrations. This hands-on experience is designed to inspire and educate visitors about the innovative tools shaping the future of STEAM.
NY Avengers Inc is a 501(c)(3) charity costuming group serving the NY/NJ Tristate area, with a network of over a hundred talented costumers and crafters. Their mission is to create exciting and engaging events tailored to the costuming and cosplay community. In response to the growing demand for conventions and pop culture events, they aim to provide a safe and welcoming space for costumers, photographers, and comic fans. NY Avengers Inc is dedicated to bringing the community together through unique and immersive experiences.
